The Heliport committee functions to promote the development and use of public and private-use heliports. This is done by developing guidance material for members and planners, and working with the FAA and other agencies on heliport design criteria and related issues. The committee also develops marketing strategies and materials to educate civic leaders and promote heliports while overcoming resistance to heliport development. The committe also serves as the "Heliports Task Force" of the Regulations Committee.
